New Pioneers' annual summer camp, "Where the Wild Things Are", is building steam - and back in 2026 as the premiere nature-based day camp in central Kentucky. Want to make a difference in our campers' lives? We need your talent to bring our camp to life!

New Pioneers is hiring for several temporary, contract Camp Instructors to lead outdoor environmental education the week of June 9-12, 2026.

Focused responsibilities include:

• Leads outdoor, environmental education activities for youth during the “Where the Wild Things Are” Day Camp in 4 daily rotations of 45-60 minutes (final schedule pending)*
• Collaborate with New Pioneers’ staff to fill in additional camp roles during camp hours, as needed
• Assist youth with preparing a final camp celebration presented to parents/guardians and the final camp service project in tandem with the Loretto Community

*New Pioneers has prepared an “activity menu” for instructor use. Each instructor will select activities from this “menu” to meet each day’s theme and will tailor activities to each age group.
