Volunteers Needed: "Where the Wild Things Are" Day Camp

Have you heard about New Pioneers' upcoming summer day camp, "Where the Wild Things Are"? This exciting camp heralds an exciting new chapter for our organization, and we need your talent to help it come together!

New Pioneers is seeking several volunteers to assist with basic support and lead camp groups the week of June 23-27, 2025.

Camp Support Volunteer focused responsibilities include:

  • Refilling snacks and water coolers throughout the day,
  • Sorting and distributing supplies to group leaders,
  • Unloading equipment and moving supplies to/from group locations, and
  • Assisting New Pioneers' Executive Director to support camp operations during camp hours, as needed.

Camp Group Leader focused responsibilities include:

  • Co-leading campers, traveling by foot to daily activity rotations, meals/snacks, and large group gatherings,
  • Supervising bathroom, snack, and play breaks throughout camp,
  • Collaborating with New Pioneers' Executive Director to fill in additional camp roles during camp hours, as needed, and
  • Assisting youth with preparing a final camp celebration presented to parents/guardians and the final camp service project in tandem with the Loretto Community.
