New Pioneers is thankful for the opportunity from the Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce to present at their Breaking the Chamber Code Conference on October 29th.

We talked about nonprofit collaborations, the nonprofit landscape throughout our state and Nelson County, and the benefit of businesses and nonprofits alike supporting each other. It was great to share a visual representation of just how prevalent nonprofits are in our communities, the kinds of nonprofits seen throughout the county, and to discuss how best to support them outside of just the financial aspect.

A huge thank you to Lee Look, CEO of The Guthrie Opportunity Center, for sharing the important work they are doing to serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We appreciate his added perspective as another nonprofit in the area on the value of building relationships and how they partner with businesses locally to provide their individuals with tools and skills to live a happy and fulfilling life.
