Have you thought about installing solar on your home, business, farm, or non-profit organization? As a resident of Marion or Washington county, you’re in luck! The Boyle County Fiscal Court, the Danville City Commission, and the Kentucky Solar Energy Society are jointly sponsoring Solarize Boyle, a program to give homeowners, small businesses, non-profit organization, and farm operations access to reduced costs for the installation of on-site solar photovoltaic systems.
The time to invest in renewable energy is now, and Solarize Boyle makes it easy by connecting participants with pre-screened solar installers and by providing access to bulk purchasing discounts and federal tax credits.
Julia Gerwe, Executive Director of New Pioneers for a Sustainable Future, attended the program’s kickoff event in March and reflects, “The Solarize Boyle program is an opportunity for our rural communities to lead the charge on a just transition to renewable energy - both locally, statewide, and globally. Seeking creative solutions to live sustainably is nothing new for our community and region, and this program offers the opportunity to do just that. New Pioneers is proud to promote the Solarize Boyle program, and we hope that you’ll take advantage of this invitation to co-create a healthier future for all.”
