Last weekend, New Pioneers enjoyed meeting lots of new faces (and frogs) and greeting familiar friends at Sorghum Festival as we welcome the fall season!

New Pioneers engaged observers and aspiring scientists of all ages in our Pelt Detective activity, educating about wildlife that can be found in the area and developing identification skills, and our Nature Mystery Boxes activity, encouraging making hypotheses and using critical thinking.

It was wonderful to be a part of this classic fall festival right here in Springfield!

A tremendous thank you to our volunteers that helped the event run smoothly and for all the help engaging lots of learners from our community and surrounding areas!
