New Pioneers had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of Nature Week at Saint Joseph Montessori Children's Center this June! Nature Week is a great program that gives children the opportunity to learn about and connect with nature through fun and educational activities. The focus of our activities for this event related to the theme, “It’s a WILD world out there!”, with the objective of helping students notice the rich biodiversity in our environment!
We were able to set up stations including “Rainbows in Nature”, where students found plants that matched the colors of the rainbow; “Animal Tracks”, where students learned about footprints and matched them to local animals; a reading and acting out of the story "Run Wild”, and a "Backyard Safari", where students searched for creatures and plants with magnifying glasses. We had such a fun time and are so grateful for the chance to connect with the community!
