Lebanon Farmers' Market Pop-Up!

Rounding out our visits to each of the farmers' markets in the tri-county area, New Pioneers hosted a "pop-up" booth in Marion County last Saturday, October 10th. We set up at the Lebanon KY Farmer's Market with native plant and pollinator education and free native seeds. Thank you to everyone that showed up despite the weather!

Visitors of the market were given the opportunity to learn what native vs. invasive plants are, explore what impacts they have, and identify plant species that are native to Kentucky. As an added bonus, the market received a few out of town visitors that happened to be native plant enthusiasts!

It was a pleasure to get to know some of the local farmers and bakers at the market. If homemade sourdough cinnamon rolls and apple butter are your jam, this market is the place! Be sure to visit before it closes for the winter, through the end of October. Thank you to the Lebanon KY Farmers' Market, our New Pioneers volunteer, and each shopper who supported the market!

Thanks to our generous partners!
