Are you interested in learning more about Kentucky’s waterways through direct experience? What about partnering with others to better understand our waterways’ restoration and protection needs? How about pursuing action to protect and improve our water quality?
You’re in the right place! New Pioneers is partnering with the Kentucky Watershed Watch and the Loretto Community to offer a Stream Sampler Training for ALL. Join us on Tuesday, May 19th, from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Loretto Motherhouse Farm to get certified to monitor your chosen stream(s)! This training will equip you with all the tools and knowledge you need to become a Salt River Watershed Watch Volunteer.
Interested samplers must attend an in-person training AND complete online training content to become certified. Learn more about stream sampling and register here! (You may also register by emailing education@newpioneers.org)

This is a great opportunity to explore, connect, and protect our rich waterways. We hope to see you there!
Questions or concerns? Contact education@newpioneers.org or call our office at (859) 336-5070.
We will meet at the Old Tobacco Barn (#18 on the map below) on the Loretto Motherhouse Property (515 Nerinx Rd, Nerinx, KY) to begin this training. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor weather and stream access.
