Celebrate Earth Day at the Springfield Green Festival!

Join New Pioneers for a fun, family-friendly event that builds awareness of environmental issues and inspires action to support a healthy and sustainable planet – starting right here in our rural communities!

The festival takes place at the Farmers Market Depot on Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., with loads of hands-on educational activities, sustainable living demonstrations, and helpful resources from community partners.

SPRINGFIELD GREEN FESTIVAL FAQS

 

How much does it cost to attend the Green Festival?

The Green Festival is a FREE event! While food, snacks, beverages, plants, grass-finished beef, and face painting will be available at-cost, there is no charge for other activities or exhibits.

 

Where is the 2023 Green Festival located?

The festival will be take place at the Springfield Farmer’s Market Depot and surrounding area, located at 101 Depot Street, Springfield, KY 40069.

 

What happens if it rains?

The Green Festival is a rain or shine event! The food court includes a tented seating area and most activities are located under the Farmers Market pavilion or a tent - except creek exploration. For that, we recommend wearing waterproof boots, water shoes, or old shoes you don't mind getting wet!

 

Who should attend the Green Festival?

Anyone who calls planet Earth home! The festival is an all-ages event, featuring activities for children, families, and adults.

 

Are you still accepting education exhibitors and/or event vendors?

We are no longer accepting exhibitor or vendor applications for this year. If you are interested in participating in future events, please contact Lana Gits at lana@newpioneers.org.

 

Can I serve as an event volunteer?
