This June, New Pioneers will lead a group of students from Nerinx Hall (St. Louis, MO), Loretto Academy (El Paso, TX), and St. Mary’s Academy (Denver, CO) on a "BioBlitz" of the Loretto Motherhouse Property!
This involves identifying ALL of the plants, animals, bugs, and other wildlife we find in a set location. We will explore Badin Pond, the pollinator habitat, and the surrounding areas.
This is a unique experience for students to discover Kentucky wildlife that they might not see back at home. Plus, this data helps the Loretto Community better understand the health and biodiversity of their 800-acre property!

Please note, this program is ONLY open to students participating in Loretto's Service Week. Stay tuned to our Event Page to stay updated on events open to the public.
