Calling All Educators: We're Hiring!

Have you heard about New Pioneers' upcoming summer day camp, "Where the Wild Things Are"? This exciting camp heralds an exciting new chapter for our organization, and we need your talent to help it come together!

New Pioneers is hiring for several temporary, contract Camp Instructors to lead outdoor environmental education the week of June 23-27, 2025.

Focused responsibilities include:

  • Leads outdoor, environmental education activities for youth during the “Where the Wild Things Are” Day Camp in 4 daily rotations of 45-60 minutes (final schedule pending)*
  • Collaborate with New Pioneers’ Executive Director and Community Educator to fill in additional camp roles during camp hours, as needed
  • Assist youth with preparing a final camp celebration presented to parents/guardians and the final camp service project in tandem with the Loretto Community

*New Pioneers has prepared an “activity menu” for instructor use. Each instructor will select activities from this “menu” to meet each day’s theme and will tailor activities to each age group.
