New Pioneers hosted a "pop-up" booth at the Bardstown Farmers' Market this August to share native plant education with our community!

During this beautiful morning, visitors of the market were given the opportunity to learn what native vs. invasive plants are, explore what impacts they have, and to identify plant species that are native to Kentucky. Participants also gained knowledge about 6 native plants that serve as the exclusive host for local caterpillar and butterfly larvae through a fun matching game!

After learning more about these important plants, New Pioneers shared a FREE pack of native seeds with all participants to help expand these vital habitats and homes for local wildlife. Thank you to the Bardstown Farmers' Market and each shopper who stopped by our booth!
