This August, the New Pioneers staff joined non-profit organizations from all over the state for the 5th annual Non-profit Roundtable event, hosted by the Central Kentucky Community Foundation (CKCF) in Elizabethtown!

This delightful day started with networking and icebreaker opportunities, allowing our team to reconnect with some familiar faces and meet many new partners. Then, Nannette Johnston led the keynote address about living a purpose-filled life and sustaining that purpose — something we strive to do every day through our crucial work and mission for a healthier future!
This event also offered "break-out sessions," where our staff unlocked new knowledge about grants, data collection and analysis, and mental health. We also had the opportunity to discuss a variety of "table topics" with fellow attendees, including success stories, celebrating volunteers, partnerships, elevator pitches, and using data to tell our story.
Overall, this professional development opportunity brought many new connections, ideas, and information to the New Pioneers team, which will be applied to better serve our planet and communities! Thank you to CKCF and all of the wonderful hosts, planners, and panelists of this fantastic day.
