In 2025, New Pioneers' staff and Board of Directors worked hard to assess the declining membership rates that many non-profit organizations have faced in recent years. This included an invitation to solicit all current members about their experience via a survey. Amidst this review, it has become clear that New Pioneers is first and foremost a community-based organization composed of individuals, families, businesses, and community partners passionate about sustainability.
With this in mind, New Pioneers is entering 2026 with intention: We are restructuring our membership program to offer you more opportunities to get and stay involved. By simplifying our membership levels, we hope that everyone can find a way to support our efforts at a level that feels comfortable to them. By enhancing our member benefits, we strive to grow New Pioneers’ impact and welcome more passionate people into our network. We hope you’ll join us!
New Pioneers memberships are renewable annually, so if you have renewed or started your membership since January 2025, your membership will remain active at our prior levels. However, anyone interested in becoming a member from now on will be invited to do so at one of our new levels, which include:
