New Pioneers is excited to partner with the Nazareth Retreat Center to offer environmental education programming as part of the “Spirit of the Wild” Day Camp for local youth, grades 3-12, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Whitney Wurzel, outgoing Executive Director, and Julia Gerwe, Interim Executive Director, will lead morning nature exploration and investigation activities with youth during this day camp, in partnership with Brenden Dines, AmeriCorps Member with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. In the afternoon, learners will take part in mindfulness sessions designed for their particular grade alongside trained facilitators. The camp is designed to foster a sense of harmony between ourselves and the environment, promoting ecological awareness and personal well-being.
