New Pioneers had a wonderful visit with the Woodland Wonders Forest School this August! This Forest School offers a nature-based learning experience for students, fostering a love for the outdoors and sparking curiosity.

During New Pioneers' visit, students learned all about trees! We started by acting out "A Tree's Life" story with fun moves. Then, students engaged in a nature walk to analyze tree bark and leaves. During our walks, we took short breaks to let students create bark rubbings and leaf tracings, then compare with their peers.

This exercise helped students notice different textures, patterns, shapes, colors, and sizes of tree bark and leaves, forming an understanding of how tree species differ!

We are so delighted about this partnership with the Woodland Wonders Forest School and look forward to future collaborations. Big thanks to their crew!
