DESCRIPTION:Join New Pioneers for this year's Space Night - our second annual event in which we bring outer space to Springfield\, KY! \nSpace Night will be on Friday\, August 11 from 8-11 p.m. at Idle Hour Park in Springfield\, KY. The evening will include an interactive program to learn about our solar system and stargazing\, in which we'll observe the Perseid Meteor Shower. All ages will enjoy the evening's lineup of space facts\, activities\, and the opportunity to explore our solar system through the lens of a telescope. Children must be accompanied by adults. We'll gather at the pavilion near the children's playground off the Walnut Street park entrance. \nNew Pioneers is excited to partner with Springfield Tourism and Seth Thompson\, Environmental Educator\, on this event. Please bring a lawn chair\, if desired\, to enjoy the stargazing. We'll provide space-themed snacks and drinks for your enjoyment. \nSpace Night will be "out of this world"! We can't wait to see you there\, explorers!

While food\, snacks\, beverages\, plants\, grass-finished beef\, and face painting will be available at-cost\, there is no charge for other activities or exhibits. \n  \nWhere is the 2023 Green Festival located? \nThe festival will be take place at the Springfield Farmer’s Market Depot and surrounding area\, located at 101 Depot Street\, Springfield\, KY 40069. \n  \nWhat happens if it rains? \nThe Green Festival is a rain or shine event! The food court includes a tented seating area and most activities are located under the Farmers Market pavilion or a tent - except creek exploration. For that\, we recommend wearing waterproof boots\, water shoes\, or old shoes you don't mind getting wet! \n  \nWho should attend the Green Festival? \nAnyone who calls planet Earth home!
