DESCRIPTION:New Pioneers is excited to partner with the KY Solar Energy Society to offer TWO local Solar 101 Workshops for the community members of Marion and Washington Counties this year!  Join us Wednesday\, May 7th\, at the Washington County Public Library from 6-7 pm for this informative night about solar panel installation.  \n \nThis workshop will offer a unique opportunity to learn about the benefits of solar energy\, the installation process\, and incentives for homeowners\, businesses\, non-profits\, and farms! A verified solar installer will also be available to answer any questions. \nBy installing solar\, you can: \n\nSave money on your energy bill and potentially increase your property value\,\nReduce your personal carbon footprint and environmental impact\, and\nSupport local solar jobs.\n\nWhat a unique opportunity! DESCRIPTION:Stream Sampler Training!\nAre you interested in learning more about Kentucky’s waterways through direct experience? What about partnering with others to better understand our waterway’s restoration and protection needs? How about pursuing action to protect and improve our water quality? \nYou’re in the right place! New Pioneers is partnering with the Kentucky Watershed Watch and the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth to offer Stream Sampler Training for ALL. Join us Thursday\, May 22nd\, from 5-7 pm at the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Campus to get certified to monitor your chosen stream(s)! This training will equip you with all the tools and knowledge you need to become a Salt River Watershed Watch Volunteer. \nInterested samplers must attend an in-person training AND complete online training content to become certified.
