DESCRIPTION:Space Night 2026!\nWe're shooting for the stars - and you're invited! Join New Pioneers at our fifth annual Space Night on Friday\, July 31st\, from 8-11:00 pm at the Rotary Park at the Reservoir in Springfield\, Ky. \nThis program will include interactive learning stations for the whole family\, "astronaut-approved" snacks\, and a telescope viewing of the night sky\, including the Perseid Meteor Shower. You don't want to miss out on this unique night that's light-years ahead in fun! \nBut wait... there's more! New Pioneers is excited to partner with Dark Sky Kentucky this year to bring a fresh\, exciting line-up of education and activities about protecting our night sky from light pollution\, which disrupts the migration patterns of local birds\, the critical feeding and breeding cycles of nocturnal insects\, and even the quality of our own sleep! \nWe'll gather at the pavilion of the Rotary Park (On Booker Rd\, just off HWY 55). Please bring a lawn chair\, if desired\, to enjoy the stargazing. Children must be accompanied by an adult for this program. \nNew Pioneers also celebrates the generous\, ongoing sponsorship of this program by Springfield Tourism. SUMMARY:Fall Pop-Up Day Camp!
DESCRIPTION:Branching Out Pop-Up Camp!\nNew Pioneers is eager to announce our NEW fall break opportunity: Branching Out Pop-Up Day Camp!  \nRegister your 2nd-5th grader(s) to join us on Friday\, October 16th\, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Campus for this fun-filled day to gain knowledge and confidence in the great outdoors. \n \nCAMP DETAILS:\nDATE/TIME: Camp will take place on Friday\, October 16th\, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. \nADDRESS: Camper drop-off and pick-up will take place at Crimmins Hall of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Campus (signage will be placed to direct you). Campers will explore different parts of campus throughout the day\, including a tree walk\, creek exploration\, garden tour\, beekeeper visit\, and more! \nCOST: Camp costs $50 for the day per camper. Active New Pioneers members will receive a pricing discount of $10\, totaling $40 for the full day per camper. Payment is due by Friday\, October 2nd. The cost of attendance includes participation\, snacks\, and learning supplies. Lunch is NOT provided - participants will pack a “brown bag” lunch. \nSCHOLARSHIPS: It is a priority of New Pioneers that all children have access to camp. Financial support is available for those in need. All families are asked to contribute $5 to secure their child’s place during camp. Scholarships can be requested in the application. For more information\, email info@newpioneers.org. \nREFUND POLICY:  We understand that life situations sometimes require a cancellation of plans. In acknowledgement of the expenses associated with planning and facilitating camp\, our cancellation policy is as follows: If you cancel your camper’s registration on/before October 1\, 2026\, you are eligible for a refund of all fees. Registrants are not eligible for refunds after October 2\, 2026. \nELIGIBILITY AND SAFETY: Camp is open to youth in grades 2-5. There is a maximum of 25 learners\, and registration will be processed on a first-come\, first-served basis. All adults coming into direct\, regular contact with youth will receive a background check and health/safety training. \n \nCAMPER EXPECTATIONS:\nEach camper is expected to meet the following base expectations in order to successfully attend camp. We are happy to make accommodations\, and we encourage you to reach out if your learner is unable to meet these expectations. \nBase expectations include: \n\nCamper can independently use the restroom.\nCamper can stay with a group at all times and follow instructions from adults.\nCamper does not require medicine to be administered with support (in any form) during the time of camp (excluding youth who can self-administer oral medication labelled and provided to New Pioneers by the first day of camp).\nCamper can speak and understand English.\nCamper can physically navigate uneven terrain independently\, without support.\n\nREGISTRATION PROCESS:\nRegistration for “Branching Out” Pop-Up Camp will be conducted through a Google Form. You are not required to have a Google email account to submit this form\, but an email account is required to maintain communication. Registration will include necessary liability waivers and medical information\, and will take roughly 15 minutes to complete. \nCOST: $50 per camper (New Pioneers members are eligible for a $10 discount) \nNew members are welcome - and encouraged! - to enroll their membership at any level to qualify for the member rate. Note: Your membership MUST be active at the time of registration and at the time of camp to qualify for the member discount. \nRegistration will close when we reach our maximum capacity or on Friday\, October 2nd. \nPayment: Please wait to pay any camp dues until participation has been confirmed via email by New Pioneers. Once your camper's attendance is confirmed\, you may pay with a credit card on our website\, through PayPal\, Venmo\, cash\, or check.
